I expect to receive submissions by 11:59pm on Mondays. If a submission isn’t in my inbox when I look Tuesday morning, I will send you a message, letting you know whether or not I can fit a later submission into my schedule. If not, it is forfeit, yes. This is to make it fair to all my writers and be respectful of everyone’s time and schedule. When you start working with me, you understand that you get accountability, and that is how this accountability manifests. You will have monthly invoices and weekly deadlines. Please note that there will be no refunds issued.

A month is considered four weeks for submission purposes. However, yes, I generally allow you to submit that extra Monday at no extra charge, but I reserve the right to cancel that fifth submission any time, if my schedule won’t allow for it. See it as a nice bonus when you get it, and nothing lost when you don’t.

If you submit less, that is your loss. Unless there are circumstances we’ve talked through ahead of the submission date, those unused words are forfeit. If something out of your control is going on, we will chat about it and come to a mutually agreeable solution. If you submit more than the guidelines indicate, I will simply stop reading at the correct wordcount and will let you know where I stopped. You can submit the extra words again the following week.

We can talk about pausing-I generally allow a pause within 1-2 weeks’ notice. If I’m too sick to work, I will let you know and take on the extra load in addition to any new submissions. If you're too sick to write, let me know, and we'll discuss options. I will let you know if I’m away, and we will talk through options on how to work our submissions around that. Typically, that can look like a pause, or my offering to work double submission before or after my time away. It depends on the specific circumstances of both my time and yours. The same is true if you are going away for a time.

That depends mostly on you. I’ve had clients who worked with me for a month and I’ve had some who’ve worked with me for years. It depends on your individual needs, your story’s needs, your story's length, and your financial abilities.

There are no minimum sign-up periods for the ongoing coaching packages. You can stop working with me any time. I just ask that you give me a week’s notice before the next billing cycle. If you wish to quit mid-month and don’t want to submit the rest of the month, those words are forfeit. No money will be returned, so be sure you plan accordingly.

Yes, all payments are required and expected before I do any work on your writing. If you hire me to work on a manuscript evaluation, we can discuss half up front and half just before delivery of the feedback. All other work requires full upfront payment.
